How to make the most out of the reference guide to ace the SAT?
We recommend that you & your teen save the PDF to your phones where you can easily reference it when needed. Then print out the 3 pages "My score goal", "Improving Weaknesses", and "Study Schedule". These pages are most effective when used physically & written on.
Writing down a score goal gives us a sense of accountability and makes our goal real. It's a goal we can see and put on the fridge to remind ourselves daily. Next, with we can identify our weaknesses when it comes to the SAT after taking a 1-2 practice tests. With these weaknesses pinpointed, we'll be able to set goals on which areas to improve which will allow us to create our study schedule accordingly.
It's important to note if your teen misses one of the study slots they committed to or had a distracted study session, the focus should be on "how can we improve the schedule" to make sure we are more productive. This way, instead of focusing on feeling bad & harboring negative feelings towards SAT studying, your teen will want to improve the process as well.
